METALLICA
After 37 years, 10 albums, 5 Grammy awards and many movies, Metallica still live on as one of the strongest and heaviest bands ever. They are known to be the pioneers of Thrash Metal. Lars Ulrich (drummer) put up advertisements for forming a band after receiving a chance to perform. He called up James Hatfield (Singer) who he met through a friend and they brought in Hetfield's’ friend Ron McGovney (ex-bassist). Dave Mustaine later answered the advertisement and soon became the Lead Guitarist of Metallica. The band was formed in Los Angles but are based in San Francisco.
A few years later James and Lars still working together in Metallica. The bands new lead guitarist Kirk Hammett took over after Dave Mustaine left and formed another Thrash Metal band, Megadeth. Ron McGovney left the band early and got replaced with Jason Newsted. Jason later on left and got replaced with former Ozzy Osbourne bassist Robert Trujillo. The band has had many ups and downs but they always seem to come back with a huge impact.
Metallica has yet to disappoint their fans. They are always touring and entertaining their fans all over the world. They have now become the most influential Metal musicians and still the best performers of their time. The band keeps expanding so all their fans can have fun and always expect something new.
