Pro Tools
I recently watched a video tutorial on the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) known as Pro Tools. Pro Tools is the industry standard software for music production as well as post production (Lewin, 2013). In my opinion Pro Tools is gonna help me in my future cause it works with the type of filed i want to get in to. It has been used by many professionals in the music industry including the band that got me into this field, Metallica.
The type of music that I am interested in recording is with the use of actual instrument and playing. I know other softwares that can do that but they are mainly used for electronic music, which is something that I am not interested in. I also would use a DAW that will provide me the sound that i want with many creative ways to mix and master music and i think Pro Tools is the software to get the job done.
Pro Tool is also that DAW that I will be using throughout my Audio engineering course at SAE so I will be learning how to use it and how to record professionally. My opinion is Pro Tools is the best option to go to and it will be helpful in my course as well as after.
